Holy Week

Message from the Executive Director

Dear Everest Parents, Faculty and Staff:

We are two days away from celebrating the week that changed the history of the world and each one of us. At times we can ask ourselves: How much does God love me? Can anyone understand my suffering?  Can I be forgiven?

The celebration of the Passion of Our Lord contains the answers to all of these questions. “For God so loved the World that He gave his Only Son...” (John 3:16) We have a God who has suffered for us, who has chosen to give his life for us so that we might have life. He has embraced his cross to give us the strength to embrace our little crosses. He has shed his blood to cleanse us from our sins and to show us that Love is
stronger than sin. It wasn’t the nails that held Him to the cross but the love that He has for each one of us. In this Holy Week we can be immersed into his passion of love for us and ask Him to inflame our hearts so that we can learn to love others like He does – without reservations.

I hope that in this Holy Week we all have time to rest, to be with your families, and time to remember Our Lord who has loved us to the extreme. May our actions, our service and our joy be our way of showing our love to Him and spreading it to other people. As we walk towards Easter, may we have the confidence of knowing that His love can triumph in our lives.

Happy Easter!

Count on my prayers,
Ms. Beatriz Rivera
