Feast of St. Joseph

February 22, 2013 Lower School Middle School High School

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

I would like to thank all of you who came to the Lower School Open Classes last week and this week.  It was really amazing to see the students in their natural learning environment demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have acquired and developed through the months this year.  Your children have truly progressed academically as evidenced by how they performed and applied their knowledge in their interactive classroom setting, and how through their spontaneous comments and insights, we witnessed their use of critical and creative thinking skills.  I wish to congratulate them for their outstanding performance and commend them for the enthusiasm and active participation in the learning process.  Your presence in our activities and the
constant guidance and support you give your children contribute to their success in school.

The Middle School students are preparing for an English and History Festival on March 15.  This event will be a culmination of the students’ learning of Shakespeare plays and the Medieval period.  Please expect communication regarding this event next week.

Allow me to express my deepest gratitude to all the teachers in your behalf.  They all have been doing a wonderful job in the classrooms.  We truly value their hard work and dedication.

On March 1st and March 19th, we will be celebrating Father’s Day.  We have traditionally celebrated this special occasion in March closer to the Feast of St. Joseph.  Just as St. Joseph cared for Jesus and our Blessed Mother, may he continue to be your example in protecting and loving your home and family.

May you all have a restful long weekend.

God bless,
Angelica R. Fernandez De Castro
