Intellectual Development, Middle School

The middle school curriculum sets high, yet reasonable, academic expectations for its students, creating a healthy balance between the student's current abilities and his potential. This delicate balance is guided by knowledge of the student's individual strengths and areas for growth, as well as prudent judgment regarding the form and content of the curriculum.

At all grade levels, the core subjects of English, Filipino, Mathematics, History and Geography, and Sciences are continuously complemented by study of a second language, music, fine arts, physical education and technology programs. The teaching of Catholic Formation and apostolic activities arealso made more pronounced in the middle school.Students may also participate in varsity level sports and extracurricular programs to further their growth.

Everest Academy continues to offer gender specific classes in a co-ed campus for girls and boys in middle school grades 6-8. Each class is adapted to the different needs of each gender to improve academic performance.Different teaching styles and gender-relevant classroom activities result in greater academic achievement, higher self-esteem, broader interests, stronger role models and greater maturity. Classrooms that accommodate the differences in cognitive, social and development growth rates of girls and boys have students that consistently show higher test scores and greater academic and social achievement.

Our dedicated teachers are committed to the growth and development of each student. Teachers used student-centered activities and variedassessment approaches addressing different student needs and ensuring deep and long lasting learning opportunities for every student.
