Antonio Ma. Guerrero
Chairman of the Everest Academy Board since 2012. Former President of Eveready Philippines, Inc., a company he worked with for 37 years. He was a former Director of Iligan Light and Power Inc. Mr. Guerrero has solid experience in manufacturing, marketing, and general management, including overseas experience in Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Singapore. He has been a Trustee of the Philippine Cancer Society for more than 10 years, and is currently the Chairman of the Board. Concurrently, he is a Board Member of Mano Amiga Academy, and a Director Emeritus of Energizer Philippines. He holds leadership positions in several socio-civic organizations.
Virgilio L. Peña
Former Chairman of the Philippine Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) in 2006. Former Undersecretary for ICT of the Philippine Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC). Mr. Peña was President of IBM Philippines, a company he worked with for 30 years. He also worked as Senior Vice President, San Miguel Corporation, and as President and Managing Director, San Miguel Brewing International, Hong Kong. Mr. Peña was the first Chairman of the Everest Academy Board in 2007.
Currently, he serves as a Trustee of the Everest Academy Board, President of Altius Philippines and Mano Amiga Academy, Trustee and Assistant Treasurer of the Philippine Cancer Society, and Independent Director of Lorenzo Shipping Corporation.
Carmelino P. Alvendia Jr
Currently, a Trustee of Everest Academy Board and a Trustee of Mano Amiga Academy. Mr. Alvendia was Senior Vice President for Marketing and Sales of Philippine Appliance Corporation, manufacturer of General Electric and White-Westinghouse in the Philippines. He is currently Chairman/Member of corporations involved in education, real estate, and social development. His advocacies include foundations for the underprivileged in the areas of housing, education, and care for needy children.
Christine Grace Gloria-Villarama
Former Assistant Dealer in the Treasury Department of Bank of the Philippine Islands, Mrs. Villarama was a preschool teacher at Creative Play Corner. She was also the Former CoDirectress of the Goodwill Kiddie Camp and Former Directress of Sacred Heart School, Shangri-La and Forbes Park branches. She was a Kumon instructor for Math and English for twenty (20) years. She was a Consultant of Everest Academy Laguna preschool.
Currently, she is a Trustee of Everest Academy Board and Directress of Integrow, a twenty-five (25) year old preschool at Bonifacio High Street. Mrs. Villarama is affiliated with various socio-civic and religious groups. She is currently taking a Spiritual Direction course at Divine Mercy University.
Jose Macario L. Laurel IV
Trustee of Everest Academy and Mano Amiga Academy. Former Representative of the 3rd District of Batangas province with several committee memberships in Congress, including the Education Committee. Mr. Laurel was the Philippine Ambassador to Brazil. He also built a career in banking, real estate, and the corporate world. He is a retired Colonel in the Philippine Army, and a founder of various security corporations. He is affiliated with several socio-civic and education non-profits.
Francisco C. Eizmendi Jr.
Trustee of Everest Academy Board. Mr. Eizmendi worked with San Miguel Corporation for 46 years in various functions, retiring as its President in 2002. He was former President and Trustee of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Concurrent to Everest Academy, he is a Trustee of the Institute for Solidarity in Asia as well as Chairman and Independent Director of several companies in the financial services industry. He was Governor of the Management Association of the Philippines in 2010.
Ma. Lourdes R. Ortiz-Luis
Trustee of Everest Academy Board. Ms. Ortiz-Luis used to be Managing Director of DOOR International Consulting and Training Philippines, and President and Chief Operations Officer of Ancilla Enterprise Development and Consulting, Inc. in 2010. She served as Consultant and Manager of international companies in various industries. Concurrent to her being a Trustee at Everest Academy, she is also the Philippine Projects Coordinator for a US-based organization for Catholic relief and development ministry. She is affiliated with social development groups and professional organizations engaged in organizational development.
