History Unfolds for Everest Academy and Regnum Christi

June 02, 2017 Kindergarten Lower School Middle School High School

The month of May was rich with meaningful events both for Everest Academy Manila and Regnum Christi. The school was honored to have Fr. Eduardo Robles-Gil, General Director of the Legion of Christ and Regnum Christi, celebrate it's year-end mass for faculty and staff during his first visit to Manila. In his homily, Fr. Robles-Gil encouraged them to uphold the gift of patience that is needed to touch hearts of students, and ultimately put Christ in it.

The day before and after this were equally momentous occasions. Bro. Luis Lorenzo, the first Filipino Legionary, was ordained deacon by Cardinal Luis Tagle at the Manila Cathedral in a Mass concelebrated by a number Legionaries of Christ. Meantime, Claire Umali, the first Filipina consecrated of Regnum Christi who grew up in the Philippines, professed her final vows in Christ the King Parish on June 2.

These historic events are great inspiration to the school in strengthening its commitment to forming future Catholic leaders.
