Advanced Placement Program
Our High school offers a dynamic and challenging program that allows our students to expound upon their interests and prepare for postsecondary studies locally and abroad. In addition to a variety of electives, our High School also offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses, a unique program where students are able to take college-level courses while in high school.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Programis an internationally accepted and recognized set of courses in universities worldwide. These courses are certified by the College Board located in New York City, USA.
Benefits associated with taking AP courses in Everest Academy:
College Courses in a Familiar Setting:
Students will be in a position to appreciate and prepare for college in an academically rigorous, supportive and personal environment. They will benefit from the small class sizes and personal attention offered from their AP teachers.
Earning College Credit:
Students passing these courses are eligible for university undergraduate course credits, potentially contributing time and financial savings.
Upper Level Course Advantage:
Entering College with AP credits gives time to move into upper-level courses in their field of interest, or pursue a double major, as well as to have a greater advantage when studying abroad.
College Admissions Advantage:
AP is also highly recognized by university admissions teams, providing AP students with an overall cutting advantage in the competitive admissions process.
AP Scholar Awards:
Each September, the College Board recognizes high school students who have demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement with AP Scholar Awards. While there is no monetary award from the College Board, AP Scholar Awards further strengthen their college admission portfolio.
